Perfil Perfecto: tailor your resume without inventing experience

Tailoring your resume for every job takes time. An AI model can make that faster, but it introduces another problem: it can improve a sentence so much that it ends up inventing experience.

I built Perfil Perfecto to try to solve both problems.

You upload your resume once, and the application creates a professional profile that you can review and correct. Then you add a job posting —by pasting its text or using its link— and receive a resume focused on that role.

The difference is what happens after the draft is generated: a second model compares its claims with your original profile. If something is not sufficiently supported, it flags it for review or removes it from the result. The final decision remains yours.

Why I built it

Early this year, I started to feel that my skills were losing value. AI models amplify development and analytical work, reducing timelines and, in some cases, the size of the teams required.

I am a Business Intelligence engineer. Knowing how to write a SQL query or build semantic models was no longer perceived the same way it had been a year or two earlier. Not all the hype is real, but the way we work had changed.

The best way I found to catch up was to build something that solved a real problem for me.

Job hunting pushes you to inflate everything. I wanted the opposite: a tool that helped me present my experience better without forcing me to invent it.

What I had to delete

The first version had a complex architecture: several agents talking to each other, data contracts, and more pieces than the problem needed.

I confused the goal of building and learning with the goal of demonstrating my skills.

I ended up deleting almost all of that architecture. The simpler version worked better: one model prepares the resume, and another checks whether the writing is supported by the original information.

Simplification did more than reduce the amount of code. It also made the product clearer for the person using it.

Try it with a real application

Perfil Perfecto is live. I am still improving it, but you can create your profile, add a job posting, and download a tailored resume:

Try Perfil Perfecto

If you try it, I am especially interested in two things: whether the result represents your experience accurately and whether you would use that resume to apply for the job.
